Since the colonial port of Dutch Sheets is the port for unloading activities where sailboats and shelter ships west of the season. At first, Sheet Harbor is located in the Ampenan, Mataram which is one of the ports under the coordination of KEDAPEL REGION IV Surabaya.
Ampenan Beach harbor location was moved to the area b er based sheet SK. Minister of Communications of Indonesia. KM. 77/LL305/PHB-77 dated October 13, 1977.
Based on the KM. 13/LL305/PHB-79 dated January 11, 1979 stipulated the transfer of port activities from the Port of Port of Sheet Ampenan to Lombok West Nusa Tenggara Province, then it has held since the transfer of port activities from the sheet Ampenan until now.
